Take a look at 7 hours in 2 minutes. This is a time lapse of a day in our class. I didn’t record when the students left for special areas or lunch. In the video you will see my math class work on the lessons they will be teaching to each other, students recording their history plays, our reading block, study hall, students working on their science research projects, and our technology buddies (Mr. Murray’s 2nd grade class) creating their grammar music CDs.

We finally got to Skype!! On Thursday, we connected with a class from Frederica Academy in St Simons Island, GA. We talked with Mrs. Howell’s class about our school, community, and how our school is going green. Even though we are in different states, we had a lot in common. Both classes enjoy using technology, putting on plays, and practicing “going green” in their schools.

During TCAP test week, the students are not allowed to do anything educational. To help pass the time after the tests, the students made their own stop motion films. They are going to be making longer ones with their technology buddies, Mr. Murray’s second grade class, in May so this was great practice. Take a look at Sydney’s movie below.
