Well maybe if he was still alive. Last week, the students and I pretended to be famous abolitionist. And the one thing we all know abolitionist love to do……..facebook! I found a facebook template and loaded a couple of pictures of our famous people and the lesson was off. The students enjoyed making the fake profile pages, and they had to use higher level thinking skills to do it. They had to come up with friends, clubs, favorite songs, and books that would go along with Harriet Tubman and Frederick Douglass. They could even post a history related comment on the fake wall.
