Before we let out for holiday break, I polled the students on their favorite moments of 2010. Here is the list we made from ten to the number 1 spot:

10: FIrst Day of School – The students walk into their new high-tech classrooms.

9: Holiday Party – Karaoke singing, elf yourself, ornaments, games, music, pizza, and movies made this a great day.

8: iTunes – The students created their own itunes podcast.

7: Plants/Broccoli – Growing our own vegetables and eating them made our Thanksgiving a little more special.

6: Video to Japan – The students made a video to help our friends in Japan learn english.  Pretty cool to think that my students are also teachers.

5: Flowers – With the help of Mrs. Sullivan, the students grew their own white narcissus in the classroom and made a time lapse video of their growth.

4: EPALS – The students have made friends on every continent except Antarctica and Australia. They have more friends from around the world than I do in all!

3: Wonder Works – A fantastic field trip to one of the coolest places I have ever been. Check out the video!

2: Apple Store – The students learned some cool tricks when the Apple Store open their doors to us back in August.

1: Letters from the Philippines – The students still have their letters they received on the first day of school from students that live almost 9,000 miles away.

To visit the our volunteer page click here or the volunteer spot link on the side of the blog. I will also put the link on our weekly newsletter.
